Lauren is a skilled forward who has a knack for goalscoring. She’s excited to start her college career in the Fall of 2026.
Level
Lauren currently plays for LMHC Laren U18-1, competing in the Landelijk league, the highest level of Dutch youth field hockey. Throughout her hockey career, she has consistently been part of the top selection teams at her club, competing against the best players in the Netherlands and gaining valuable experience in high-level competition.
Playing style
Lauren is a technically sound forward known for her quick acceleration and goalscoring ability. She has a powerful and accurate hit, and excellent ball control, making her highly effective in and around the circle with shots on goal and tip-ins. Off the ball, Lauren plays with strong defensive discipline, staying low and alert to intercept passes and apply effective pressure. Her field awareness and pre-scanning allow her to keep her head up and find teammates quickly with sharp, well-timed passes. She is confident in taking penalty strokes and is also an excellent R2 on APCs.
Accomplishments
Lauren has enjoyed significant success across multiple age groups.
U14: Reached the outdoor national championship playoffs and became indoor national champion.
U16: Advanced to the outdoor national championship playoffs.
U18: Reached the national championship playoffs, scoring the opening goal in the match against Rotterdam.
Lauren frequently contributes multiple goals and assists per game.
Academics
Lauren is a motivated student currently enrolled in VWO, the highest level of Dutch high school, and is expected to graduate in July 2026.
Lauren is very motivated too combine her strong academic performance with her commitment to field hockey and is excited to continue her development both academically and athletically in the United States.
